Privacy Policy

This policy explains how ImagiMation Studios LLC (“we,” “us”) handles information when you use Seethe, its web viewer and sharing service, and these Seethe information and support pages.

The short version: Seethe does not require an account. The native app creates its visual experience on your device. Its Shares history stays local. Creating a public flame link sends the flame’s settings to our service, and anyone with the link can view it.

1. Information on your device

Seethe’s native apps generate fractal visuals locally. On supported versions, the app stores a history of up to 25 shared flames using local app storage. Entries contain the link, the flame recipe and viewing settings needed to reopen it, and whether you shared it or opened it from a link. This list is not uploaded as a library to our servers.

Your operating system may include app data in a device backup, depending on your settings. Those backups are managed by the platform provider. The app does not ask for your contacts, precise location, camera, microphone, or photos to create flames. Ambient sound is generated by the app; it does not record you.

When you choose Share, Seethe sends a mathematical flame recipe, title, rendering information, and session settings to our sharing service. Session settings can include color, framing, motion, and sound settings. Depending on the client, a preview image may be supplied or generated by the service. We store the shared record, a random link identifier, its creation time, and a coarse last-accessed time used to manage storage.

The app copies the resulting URL to your clipboard. Your device or another app may offer a clipboard preview. Seethe does not read your clipboard history.

Shared links are public, not private messages. Anyone with the link can view the flame, its preview, and the settings needed to reproduce it. Recipients and social platforms may copy, forward, cache, or display previews. Do not include private information in shared content. Opening a short link retrieves its record from the service. A full session link carries flame settings in the link itself.

Where a client uses server-assisted discovery, it sends the generation seed, variation setting, and any parent flame recipe needed to generate results. The current native mobile Discover experience generates its candidates on the device.

3. Network and service information

Cloudflare hosts Seethe’s web viewer and sharing service. Requests necessarily involve network and technical information, including an IP address, requested URL, time, and device/browser request information. The sharing service uses IP addresses to limit abusive request rates. The shared-flame database does not attach your name, email address, or IP address to a flame record.

Hosting and security providers may process request logs and diagnostic information to deliver content, investigate failures, and protect their services. These Seethe information pages are hosted on GitHub Pages. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy and GitHub’s privacy statement for their practices.

The web viewer loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives ordinary request information when those resources are fetched. See Google Fonts’ privacy information. The native apps and this Seethe information section use bundled fonts. These Seethe information pages do not embed analytics scripts or set advertising cookies. Other ImagiMation pages may use different services, described by their own policies.

4. Support, purchases, and diagnostics

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to answer your request, troubleshoot, and manage related follow-up. Please do not send passwords or payment-card details.

If you obtain a paid version through Apple or Google, the store processes payment under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive your full payment-card details. Stores may provide sales, download, or diagnostic reports according to their platform settings. Seethe’s native apps do not include advertising or a dedicated third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDK.

5. How information is used and disclosed

We use information to provide the features you request, keep links working, limit abuse, investigate technical problems, and answer support or privacy requests. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Information is disclosed to providers needed to operate hosting, storage, and support; to recipients of links you choose to share; and where necessary to comply with law, protect rights and security, or carry out a business transfer subject to appropriate protections. Service providers may process information in the United States and other countries.

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on providing the service you request, our legitimate interests in operating and securing it and responding to support, applicable legal obligations, or consent where required.

6. Retention

Local history: retained on your device until you remove an entry, it is displaced by the 25-entry limit, or the app’s local data is deleted. Device backups may retain separate copies.
Public shares: retained to keep their links working until removed or evicted under the service’s storage limits. Less recently accessed shares may be removed as capacity fills. Links are not guaranteed to remain available indefinitely.
Support and operational information: retained as needed to resolve requests, maintain security, handle disputes, and meet legal obligations. Provider-managed logs, caches, and backups follow the applicable provider’s retention controls and may persist beyond removal of a live record.

7. Removal requests and privacy rights

Remove local entries using the remove control in Discover → Shares. On Android, clearing app storage also removes local app data. On iPhone and iPad, deleting the app removes its local data; offloading the app can preserve data. On Mac, removing the application alone may leave its preferences, so use the in-app remove controls for share history. Manage backups separately in your platform settings.

Deleting local history does not remove a public share from our service. To request removal of a public flame, email contact@imagimationstudios.org with the complete link and a short explanation. We may ask for reasonable information to verify a request. We cannot erase copies already saved by recipients or third-party preview caches. See the full data-request instructions.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, object to or restrict processing, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Contact us to exercise applicable rights. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. Seethe has no user account to delete.

8. Children and security

Seethe does not require a name, age, or registration. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has supplied personal information through sharing or support, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as required.

Network requests use HTTPS, and access to the service’s storage is restricted. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Public flame links are designed for sharing and should not be used to hold confidential information.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Seethe or its services change. We will post the revised policy here with an updated effective date and provide additional notice where required.
